Julian Lewis is a former elementary music teacher for the Mecklenburg County School District and has worked as a private instructor at Music and Arts in Huntersville, NC.  He has taught in the public school system for seven years and has taught privately for almost a decade. 

Julian holds a BA in Music Education from Bethune-Cookman University; Class of 2010.

Along with his degree he is also a certified level 3 Orff teacher. 

In this time as a teacher and instructor, Julian has used his skills and knowledge to create a unique comprehensive curriculum that combines critical thinking, a love for music and musical confidence. Julian's teaching style incorporates a combination of games, movement, and critical thinking to help create independent musicians. 


He has performed on multiple stages including Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Juilan Lewis participates in several different local vocal and instrumental groups in the Charlotte area. He is well versed in the vocal arts, piano and trumpet. Beyond teaching and playing, Julian is passionate about tuning pianos. He loves collecting vinyl records and exploring music that can’t be categorized as one particular genre. One of his favorite groups is Delta Rae and his favorite artist is Alicia Keys. Lastly, he enjoys attending concerts in both intimate settings and grand stages.
